I grew up in Utah, but for the past two years I was in Taiwan serving my church mission. While living there I was able to understand more about the world and other cultures. This incredible experience inspired an interest in international relations, which led me to major in economics and political science at the University of Utah. After earning my undergraduate degree, I plan on pursuing a graduate degree. In my spare time I love watching sports, especially the Jazz and the Yankees, or hanging out with friends.

Saul Leal is an international media executive with proven operational management, business development and leadership skills. He has received 21 nominations and awarded 11 regional EMMY's from 2011 to 2013 as an Executive Producer and Concept Creator. He has experience as a general manager in media, building an audience of over 136 million aggregated social followers and 4.7 Billion social impressions per month through social channels.

Leal has built and launched multi-platform (satellite, Internet and mobile), multi-language television channels among other technologies and operational ventures. He has a proven track record in creating, developing and selling global initiatives with a results-driven, creative and professional mindset.

Scott Bell is an accomplished Senior Executive with over 20 years of success across the automotive, powersports, healthcare, banking, finance, retail, travel, legal, technology and wireless industries. His broad areas of expertise include leading large teams, operational excellence, growth management, international business, customer engagement, business process outsourcing (BPO), and cost savings.

Scott has held leadership positions with organizations including COO at Vanderhall Motor Works (Utah’s only automotive manufacturer) and has served in executive roles at Xerox, Focus Services, Metasource, Qualfon and ACS Business Process Solutions. Scott has his BSBA and MBA and has been able to use skills learned in his executive career worldwide.

Shelby Daiek serves as an International Trade Specialist at the International Trade Administration. She counsels and guides Utah Companies through the export process from beginning to end; such as how to develop new international sales, comply with applicable laws and regulations, fulfill documentation requirements and overcome trade problems. Previously, she has worked with the U.S. Department of Commerce as a Business & Industry Specialist, as well as the U.S. Commercial Service as a Program Analyst. She received her BA from Elon University - Martha and Spencer Love School of Business in Economics, Public Administration & Political Science.

Dr. Baldomero Lago serves as the Chief International Officer for Utah Valley University. He organizes and manages UVU’s global and intercultural academic initiatives; working mainly with the Governor's Office of Economic Development of the State of Utah, The United Nations, World Trade Center and more.

Previously, Dr. Lago was a professor of language pedagogy and has presented his teaching philosophy and research in Europe, the Americas and Asia. He received his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the US and completed a doctorate degree in instructional technology in his home country Santander, Spain. Previously he has served with the Utah Consular Corps, as President of the World Trade Association of Utah, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy and the University of Utah Masters Program on International Affairs and Global Enterprise the Honorary Consul of Spain

Jonathon Wood is currently the Managing Director of the Whitmore Global Business Center in the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University which is designated as a Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) by the U.S. Department of Education.

Jonathon’s career has been spent mostly in the education sector focused on global experiential learning for students, educators, and administrators. Through more than 70 countries, he has led over 1,000 students and educators on experiential learning tours in subjects ranging from performing arts to international business. Jonathon also manages BYU’s Global Management Certificate, the Global Business and Literacy Minor, and the CIBER grant. Jonathon and the center are focused on increasing global awareness and competencies in the with students and in the community. This includes activities ranging from business language education and competitions at the both university and K-12 levels to development of resources for community business leaders to use with their workforce.

Lisa Sagers is currently serving on the Utah District Export Council and has held every position in the World Trade Association, including being the second woman president. She has been instrumental in starting the WTA Golf tournament that raises money for scholarships for international business students. Lisa was awarded the International Person of the Year by the World Trade Association. Before retirement, Lisa worked as the Director of Operations at Air & Sea International. She currently teaches for SLCC in the Global Business Management course. She has served in many areas in the transportation business for over 40 years and continues to lecture, consult and handle the occasional shipment.

Shai S. Lustgarten, was appointed omniQ’s CEO, a company which provides AI, Computer Vision solutions to the Smart and Safe City markets, and manufactures rugged computers and electronic equipment mainly used in the Gas and Oil industry. From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Lustgarten was the Chief Executive Officer at Micronet Limited Inc. and has served as EVP Business Development and Head of the Aerospace and defense Division of Micronet EnertecTechnologies.

From 2009 to 2013 Mr. Lustgarten was VP of Sales, Marketing and CMO of TAT Technologies. His prior experience also includes serving from 1993 to 1997 as the assistant to the Military Attaché at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, DC, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management & Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

David Utrilla studied international business and economics in Peru and in the USA. He founded the U.S. Translation Company and serves as its CEO. He is currently the Honorary Consul of Peru in Utah, appointed by the President of Peru. He serves as the Chair of the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, is on the World Trade Association Board of Directors, is Vice President of the Utah Consular Corps, is on the Weber State University President’s National Advisory Council, and is an Advisory Board Member for the School of Business and Economics.

He's received multiple awards including Utah’s Best of State, Inc. 500/5000, Mountain West Capital Network’s top 100 fastest growing companies in Utah, Top Forty Business Executives Under 40, the Small Business Person of the Year by the SBA, a Weber State University Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Utah Valley University Atlas Award.

Ms. Bagnasacco is a member of the Corporate Transactions and Securities practice group at Parsons Behle & Latimer. She has extensive experience with domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, equity and debt offerings, general corporate matters, foreign direct investment, EB-5 investments, distribution, agency and licensing matters and market entry strategies.

Ms. Bagnasacco, licensed in Utah and Italy, regularly advises U.S. and foreign clients in connection with the establishment, structuring and compliance of their international operations. She also represents domestic and international clients on corporate governance issues, including compliance with data privacy regulations (such as GDPR) and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). She is recognized in Chambers USA in the category of corporate/M&A.

Martin Ritter is the President and CEO of Stadler US Inc. He served Stadler Rail Management as a Strategic Special Assistant to Stadler Rail Group CEO and President of the Board of Directors Peter Spuhler, where he was responsible for developing business solutions and leading several strategic projects. Mr. Ritter will proudly point toward his military experience as being the cornerstone of his leadership development, which resulted in being promoted to the rank of Captain and serving as Commanding Officer of the First Company of the 20th Grenadier Battalion. Mr. Ritter is also a lifelong learner who holds a Master Degree in Accounting and Finance, as well as Bachelor Degree in Business from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

As the director and trusted keynote voice for the O.C. Tanner Institute, Meghan Stettler specializes in knitting together key sentiments and perspectives across the table to identify win-win strategies for workplace culture success. In 2021, she was featured on HRD Magazine's Global 100 List as an industry thought leader for her perspectives on the employee experience, leadership and inclusion.

Throughout her career, she has forged diplomatic partnerships across countries and companies in the Middle East, the Americas, Europe, and the Indo-Pacific regions, interfacing with multiple CEOs, energy secretaries, ambassadors, and governors, as well as addressed over a million viewers as an award-winning journalist and producer with Al Jazeera, News 12 New York, Network News Service, and ABC News Radio.

Franz Kolb is the Director of International Trade and Diplomacy in the State of Utah, Governor’s Office of Economic Development. In this role, he has organized many successful international trade missions, as well as hosted hundreds of events with international participants from the business, government and educational sectors. He is currently serving as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Austria in Utah.

Formerly, Mr. Kolb was deputy director for the State of Utah’s International Business Development Office, director of International Services of Ernst & Young, and president of the World Trade Association of Utah. He was educated in Austria and the United States, earning several degrees from Brigham Young University. He has received many honors and awards from various countries and global figures for fostering international trade relations.

I am a rising sophomore at the University of Utah and am pursuing a business degree from the David Eccles School of Business. Although I have not decided on a specific business discipline, I am interested in trade between domestic and international companies, specifically in the health and beauty industry. As a Japanese American, the duality of American and Japanese cultural influences have inspired me to learn about the possibilities international business and trade can provide. 

Professor Simon P. Greathead is an international business and global supply chain professor at BYU’s Marriott School of Business. Simon earned an MBA from Henley Business School at the University of Reading in the UK and a BS in Business Management from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Simon’s current interests focus on process optimization, ERP implementation, change management, global negotiations, international business, supply chain innovation, and the global supply chain as a strategic concern.

Simon managed European Operations for a major Inc. 10 company and then most recently as President and CEO of SupplyTrix. Simon has published in Harvard Business Review as well as Ivey Publishing and other notable journals.
